Homeschooling on a budget

How to homeschool on a budget

(notes from my talk at the Catholic Homeschool Conference)

To give you some info about me, I am the wife of Rob for 34 years, the mom to 14 (ages 33-6), and the Grammy to 13. I homeschooled my kids till college. Thanks to a homeschool Tutorial called St Peter the Rock, (see my prerecorded talk on how to start a Tutorial).  My oldest two are homeschooling my grandkids. So, it is nice to know they don’t regret being homeschooled. My answer when people asked where my kids went to school was “homeschooling Is our lifestyle, not just our academic choice!”

In 2016 our family was featured in the Washington Post for, “How one family is sending 13 kids to college, living debt free-and still plans to retire early” by Erica Johnston. The week the article came out we were put in charge of a dear little 3-day-old baby boy. (He will be 7 this August)  Ave Maria Press saw that article and offered us a writing contract on a book called,  “A Catholic Guide to Spending Less and Living More, advice from a debt-free family of 16. “ Since then, my husband has retired, and we still have two children being homeschooled.

I am here to give you some ideas and suggestions on how to homeschool on a budget! Let me tell you…IT CAN BE DONE!!! I have been homeschooling for over 30 years and you can do it!!!

Make sure you and your spouse get on the same page. One of my favorite catholic couples Mike and Alicia Hernon  are known for saying, “its better to be wrong together, than right alone!” (Please follow their podcast and resources at @messy family) I say all the time, “Marriage is a Sacrament, Parenting isn’t” Even though we love those little darlings more than life itself, after God, our spouse is our main responsibility.

For those who want the quick “Cliff notes,” on how to homeschool on a budget,  I am going to make this easy…remember my name…SAM

S: simplify-

you don’t need to buy all the stuff…my go-to comment to new homeschoolers is, “You need a library card and a math book!” Our family loves, loves books…so I have them EVERYWHERE. I get them from garage sales, library sales, thrift stores,  freecycle, and as gifts. For curriculum I bought things that could be reproduced, or that we could use over again or with multiple grades. I also would always watch for my favorite go-to workbooks by my favorite publishers at used sales, like Explode the Code, Miquion (Singapore)Math, Easy Grammar, wordly wise, Handwriting without Tears, Catholic Heritage Books, and many more.

You don’t need to do all the stuff… so many of us are burnt out from running all over the place to this co-op or this club…I know it is so tempting to do all the things and participate in all the fun activities but slow down…isn’t this why you are HOMEschooling? You are not driving- schooling…music lessons are nice, clubs are nice, sports are good…but not if they are costing us more than just a hole in our wallet. So much of our time is wasted getting to and from activities. Especially if you have little ones, those poor babies need to be home playing not stuck in a car seat driving their siblings all over. Not to mention the money we spend on prepackaged snacks and food when we are on the go ALL…THE…TIME…it gets very easy and tempting to stop for some fast food when you had to rush out to piano lessons, or to go to the after-game pizza dinner because little Johnny made a goal…or to have to pay for all the extra equipment for all the sports and clubs. Now I KNOW I am hitting some sore spots with some families. I by no means think you shouldn’t participate in all the cool activities that are available, especially since many people homeschool so they have more time to pursue some important talent or hobby like Irish Step dancing, golf, robotics, ice skating, or gymnastics. Please don’t feel singled out. I am mainly talking to large families struggling with finances, who feel they need to take out a second mortgage so little Johnny can play on a travel soccer team.  Many couples need to narrow down what their goals are. I would pray and think, “What is best for our entire family???” How much is acceptable for your family?  How much will this cost, how much time will this take, and who else can help? (Grandparents, godparents, retired friends, neighbors, uncles, and aunts?) We made our kids wait till age 9 or 10 before participating in sports. Even then we found teams where we knew the coach or someone on the team to carpool to practices and games. Some activities in our area are family friendly. They practice an hour before games and all ages play at the same fields. Also, many of our homeschool friends do things like cross country or swimming where all ages do it together.

 A: ask for help-

From God first then others, I know one of the workshops is on building a community, go to your friends to see if they have supplies you could use, borrow, or buy…if they don’t have it check your local homeschool groups. I know in our area they have so many to choose from and many who have Facebook groups you could ask there. Not to mention, things we were paying so much money for prior to covid are now free resources. I suggest asking grandparents or Godparents for things like a science center, zoo, or aquarium membership for gifts.

M: make do-

What do you already have??? Many people, myself included spend way too much money on a curriculum, and decide they hate it…but because they spent So Much on it, they make the child use it even if it isn’t a good fit for the child or the parent. Maybe ask a friend if you can see it before you buy it and get other advice before purchasing expensive material. Don’t forget to always look at used book sites. I will share a list at the end.

Pre-package curriculum might be great for different seasons in your homeschooling. I have always put together my own resources from what works best with each kid and their learning style.

We used in the past the library, all the time!! I know the library isn’t what it used to be, but you can order DVDs, activity kits, and more online. Check your library app which gives you access to online research, books online, and other things you can access from home.

What can you do with or do on your own without spending lots of money? There are also a million DYI or how-to-build stuff online to keep your kids busy learning and making things from scratch. Do things at home like cooking, playing outside, arts & crafts, games, fort building, and nature walks.  Not to mention those thousand toys and games the grandparents gave the kids for Christmas or Birthdays. What can you utilize for free in your community? Parks, beaches, play areas, library activities, free concerts,  grocery shopping, nature centers, town outdoor movies, pet stores,  museums, and so many other homeschool-friendly places right in your town that build learning into fun.

I asked my frugal book friend Nancy about how she gets discounts and sales, especially for high school and college. She suggested buying used books or renting them. AbeBooks, ThriftBooks, Better World Books, and Amazon sells used books and rent textbooks also. Make sure to watch for favorite publishers who have sales and free shipping, it helps to check their website or get on their mailing list.

Stress, anxiety, depression...oh my! Covid 19 Pandemic

Day 60 of quarantine

In my lifetime I have never encountered such a time as this. What is happening in our world is so strange and unpredictable. As a well balanced homeschooling momma of 14, I usually have my act together. Not great but at least I could handle the day to day ups and downs with a positive attitude.

This is a difficult time in my life with my normal schedule ruined. I am a strong woman when I am on my schedule, but this has thrown off my grove. I used to be super active, OK that is a nice way of saying super spazzy, if I was born in the 90's they would say ADD. My dad called it "monkey glands," I call it my super power.

Being off my schedule has caused me to fall apart in many ways like gaining around 15 lbs and being ultra lethargic. My house is getting messier and messier. I don't have the energy to do much. Everyday I have been surviving on watching daily mass, doing morning prayer with parishioners, doing a light workout, face timing family or friends to see a face other than my darling family at home, getting outside, taking a candlelit bath with praise and worship music, and watching family movies almost every night.

Today a priest I have been following for daily mass, said today that we need to fight against spiritual sloth and mental stupor. "We need to engage, the Goal is not to just endure the virus but to make the choice to sacrifice, than love, than friendship with Christ."

I am really appreciating the slowing down of my super crazy schedule, God is bringing lots of blessings to many families by having time with their daddy's, and working from home with their babies. I am not enjoying trying to do zoom school. This is not the homeschooling I have been used to for 30 years! As you can see from the classroom baseboard my kids aren't loving it much either.

This time of year I am busy planning and hosting parties,now its all cancelled. How else is my home gonna get cleaned if I don't have a party to host? Easter, First Communion, my birthday, Mother's Day, my daughters baby shower, seeing my grand babies, two graduation parties, the Father/daughter dance, end of the year banquet, not to mention all the sports...so many things cancelled. My old month looked like this...so God has given me a gift. This month everything is crossed off.

For an extrovert this is hard to deal with. I get out of the house each day but I am used to more of a schedule and without one, I literally lay on the couch and wonder what I have the energy to do. It's also hard on my marriage. My poor husband, I am trying to keep up with the housework when I am not trying to miss one of the ten zoom meetings we have. My husband is an extreme introvert and his schedule hasn't changed except that we are all home now, ALL. THE. TIME. So, he hasn't had his usual time by himself when we leave for the home school tutorial. This makes us more edgy than normal. My poor kids long to see their buddies again, thank God for letter writing, they have really embraced that fun skill lately.

So, lets keep praying for our world to get through this time with prayer and fasting and hope our churches open again. We need each other. Remember to keep reaching out to others and don't let anyone get left behind. Many are struggling and need our support.
Menopause support supplements

My old schedule looked like this:
Get up at 4:30 am and go to the gym
Go to 6:30 am mass
Quiet time before the kids woke up
Do school
Have lunch
Do jobs
Get ready for dinner
Eat
Try to pray as a family
Get ready for bed
Pass out between 9:30-10:00 pm

My new schedule looks like this:
Get up around 7:00 am
Take large amounts of Menopausal supplements
Brush teeth
Try to put on makeup
7:30 am light work out
8:00 am listen to online mass
8:30 am Do morning prayer
9:00 am online school
11:30 am lunch
12:30 get dressed if not dressed yet
1:00 pm put baby down for nap
Take a candlelit bath with praise and worship music
Lay on the couch and do nothing
5:00 pm Dinner
6:00 pm try to pray
6:30 pm watch TV
8:30 pm put kids to bed
9:00 to 11:00 Lay around usually watching TV
Try to go to bed before 11:00 pm

My 21st...first day of school as a Homeschooling mommy...

First Day of school...

Pretty funny that I have been homeschooling for 21 years! Each year with its different challenges and exciting changes. Many, many years in the beginning had a new baby or a tired pregnant mommy, but we made it through each year! I have successfully graduated my seven oldest!

Child #1 graduated with her masters at age 21, debt free and is now married, expecting baby #2 and is an evening hospital social worker. Child #2 graduated debt free and is now a FOCUS Catholic Missionary in Nebraska, getting married in November. Child #3 graduated debt free and is now in his last year of Physical Therapy School getting his doctorate degree and unfortunately had to take a loan. Child #4 graduated last year debt free and is now teaching high school math. Child #5 is a senior who is graduating debt free this May. Child #6 is a sophomore at the Community College and planning to transfer next Fall. Child #7 is a freshman in Comm. College. Child #8 is  in 10th grade, #9 is 8th grade, they go to a two day Tutorial. The last four are 6th, 4th, 2nd. and pre K! Our family has been blessed with a five week old foster baby that we got four weeks ago from an agency called SAFE FAMILIES .
Having a new baby in the house has added lots more fun and lots less sleep for me but its all worth it when the kids fight over who gets to hold him!

Each year when my college kids get their grades back I send a message to my younger homeschool mom friends saying, "See it works!!! By the grace of God they must of learned something all those crazy pregnant, diaper changing, nursing years!!! "

God always blesses us with so many graces we just have to trust in His wisdom to overcome the obstacles and know He is in control! A wise priest gave me a fantastic penance this summer..."PRAY LIKE MARY, SO YOU CAN WORK LIKE MARTHA!" love that advice and plan to try to use it always!

Hope you are having a good new school year! Pray for all families dealing with change and anxiety!

WE PAID OFF OUR HOUSE!!!

What can I possibly say besides, "My husband rocks!"
This is us at the bank and my hubby signing our final payment on the house!
At the beginning of the year  my husband informed me that he was almost done paying off our home mortgage!  I was in shock at the possibility and just hugged him and told him how proud I was of him! He informed me that it was "us" and all the years of scraping the bottom of the barrel (he says we didn't even have a barrel!) and making small sacrifices!

In the early years friends used to introduce us as the couple who had everything, except money! God provided everything for us, cars, clothes, shoes, furniture...we never bought anything but food...or as my kids say, "we lived off of hamburger helper, hotdogs, mac & cheese, and oodles of noodles!" Thanks to our generous friends we ate out at least once a week for a real meal and Friday night dinners with my in laws.

When we got married we bought a nice townhouse and moved after five years when I was pregnant with our fourth child. We owned a small Christian Bookstore where we made practically nothing and got paid about twice a year, after Christmas and First Communion season. We moved back to our hometown and bought a nice cape cod, lived there for six years and had three more children. After our seventh child was born we found our dream house across town which was a foreclosure in the best neighborhood!

We sadly closed the bookstore and my husband got a new job, we started to appreciate things like sick leave, insurance, and vacations. After about seven years he got an even better job but we continued to live simply. During this time we had our other five children. Things like homeschooling our kids saved us a ton of money, making our kids pay for their own phones, their own car insurance, and college is a biggy too! Not to mention things like my coffee loving husband only going to places like Starbucks five times in his entire life! We splurge now on things like paper towels, dryer sheets, ice cream, real butter, real tomato catchup, and a monthly date out!

My husband making his growling face in front of the bank with letter in hand!

My hubby would put all the extra funds (I of course didn't know that they existed) on our house. Simple things like using cloth diapers and not stopping for convenience food made a huge difference. The kids and I would always say as we drove past all the fast food places in town, "It is a good thing we aren't rich, cuz we would stop there right now, then we would be fat and unhealthy!"

We are pinching ourselves and can't believe we paid off our 30 year mortgage in 12 years 3 months! WE didn't know what to do...have a mortgage burning party? Only our older family and friends remember things like that! So we just went out to dinner with our wonderful accountant and his wife!

Who said it can't be done...one income family with 12 kids!
(One married, 3 in college, 2 in high school, 2 in middle school, 3 in elementary, and one in preschool)

Now our goal is to pay off our van and we will be completely dept free!!! Thanks be to God!!! We will continue to live the good life and put money away for our 25th wedding anniversary and retirement!Watch out Rome...

My Oldest Child Graduates from College!!!

This past Monday my oldest child graduated from college.

What a splendid day!!! We started out with breakfast with the social work majors than off to the graduation. I really didn't think I would be too emotional, but sitting there staring at her on the floor ready to process to receive her degree, as I nursed my eight month old---I started to tear up.

Surviving Homeschool Burnout:

This was found from The Homeschool Mom website.

Surviving Homeschool Burnout
Karen M. Gibson
Burnout happens to all homeschoolers at least once, sometimes more than once in our homeschooling journeys. Even those who do not follow a scope and sequence or a particular curriculum can fall victim to burnout. We all have expectations, internal and external, on ourselves and our children and those expectations can easily lead us to question why we are homeschooling and if we should continue to homeschool.
Burnout Symptoms

* Overreacting to situations
* Irritability
* Feeling overwhelmed
* Crying often
* Lack of confidence
* Yelling
* Feeling frustrated
* Exhaustion
* Overeating and/or lack of appetite
* Rosy thoughts of public school
* Chasing down the school bus

Burnout Causes

* Expectations of others (family, friends, even spouses)
* Our own expectations concerning our household, family, homeschool (feeling we have to "prove" we can succeed at homeschooling or that we have to maintain certain housekeeping standards)
* Unreal expectations concerning curriculum or resources that do not fit our children’s learning styles
* Outside activities consuming our lives
* Isolation, not enough outside interaction
* Focusing solely on homeschooling and not other areas of family life
* Parent / Child conflicts (parenting issues)

Burnout Cures

* Setting boundaries with family and friends - let the answering machine pick up during "school hours" and/or put a "school's in session" sign outside the door
* Reducing outside activities
* Finding time for yourself- admitting that you need time away from it all, personal time, personal space. This might be bath at night after your spouse comes home or quiet time during the afternoon or even letting the kids sleep later in the morning to get gain some solitude time
* Finding time for husband and wife together – make dates, let your children realize you are a couple, not just mommy and daddy
* Finding time to just enjoy your children – don’t make every moment a teaching moment. Play with your children, enjoy their company, talk to them and listen to them
* Reducing academic expectations - change resources, take more breaks, do less busy work, don't worry about finishing that textbook by the end of the year, skip over material, slow down, decide whether your children and you really need a schedule
* Cease worrying about "gaps" as yes, you will miss something!
* Focus on learning styles and interests, rather than the textbooks and grade levels
* Connect with other homeschool parents, swap stories, compare notes … very few actual have that "perfect homeschool" that we all picture ... it just does not exist!
* Consider another way to cover a subject that is causing stress - swap with another parent to teach a particular subject or ask your spouse to take over in that area, find a tutor (online or in real life), enroll in the dual-enrollment program at your college or a cyber-program
* Reduce your household expectations, hire someone to clean or enlisting your family’s help (children and spouse)
* More outside activity - exercise for both you and children
* Having a park day or special day every so often to just enjoy, no schoolwork!
* Raise independent learners
* Make meal time easier - plan meals in advance, find quick and easy meals, use your crockpot
* Getting enough rest – easier said than done. Maybe trade babysitting time with a friend or neighbor or hire a mother’s helper to come in and watch your young children while you nap.
* Eat well, take your vitamins, and exercise, even if all you do is go for an early morning walk before everyone wakes up.
* Pursue your own interests – you will worry less and also renew your own batteries by doing something solely for yourself. In addition, your children may discover a new area of interest for themselves
* Parent / Child conflicts - review your expectations, are they age appropriate?
* Involve your children more in their education, in the choosing resources and subjects to study, thereby empowering your children and building their self-confidence and abilities

Homeschool burnout is survivable. Once you recognize that you are in the throes of a burnout, often all it takes is a few proactive steps to begin the journey to recovery. We need to recognize that often homeschooling burnout is not really about homeschooling at all, but about life and family and not taking care of ourselves. After all, how can we expect to nurture our families if we do not nurture ourselves at the same time?
2008 Addendum
I highly recommend homeschooling pioneers Dr. Raymond Moore and Dorothy Moore’s books as both prevention and remedy for homeschool burnout. While the Moore’s write from a Christian perspective (they were missionaries), their books do not preach and non-Christians or those wishing a secular approach will find the information well worth the occasional mention of religion. The Moore’s advocate delayed academics, allowing children to play and enjoy childhood, and also stress the importance of family life and service to others, among other things. For more information on the Moore Formula, visit The Moore Foundation.
Here are the Moore books I most often recommend:

1. Home School Burnout: What It Is. What Causes It. And How to Overcome It - No longer in print, but used copies are available. A classic. Here is part of the description from the dust jacket of my copy:

This book has been written as a reassurance to all parents of the undeniable value of home-based education. By means of real-life examples and new, continually reaffirming research, the Moore’s will take readers “back” to the undisputable “why’s” of home schooling.
Then they systematically guide parents through the reasons why many disassemble their home schools. Why they – and their kids – burn out. And in explaining this, the Moore’s carefully escort parents back to their own sound reasons for deciding to home school, reassuring them to stay with it. For the good of both them and their children.
As with all the Moore’s books, Home School Burnout is thoroughly documented. At the same time, with compassion, it encourages parents back from desperation and frustration to sanity and realism.

2. Better Late Than Early: A New Approach to Your Child’s Education
3. Home Grown Kids: A Practical Handbook for Teaching Your Children at Home
4. The Successful Homeschool Family Handbook: A Creative and Stress-Free Approach to Homeschooling. Part of the description from the back cover:

With a realistic look at the problems homeschooling parents face, this comprehensive handbook offers practical strategies that help you
* Choose a curriculum that really works for you and your children
* Avoid student resentment and parent burnout
* Target your child’s interest and motivation to make learning fun
* Help your child excel in educational goals, including standardized tests
* Understand how a child’s developmental stages contribute to learning
* See the big picture of family and society in the learning process
This creative approach to homeschooling puts the family first, without sacrificing educational quality. Based on extensive research and use, The Successful Homeschool Family Handbook offers a creative alternative to the regular classroom approach.

Top 5 Must-Have No-Cost Homeschooling Resources

I found this list at THE HOME SCHOOL MOM:

Top 5 Must-Have No-Cost Homeschooling Resources

Jim Erskine’s Freebie of the Day - If you are not aware of this site, then I am excited to share it with you. Jim works with homeschool publishers to provide you with 1 freebie each day. The link to the freebie is only active for 24 hours, so you have to act fast, but these are quality offerings and not just filler junk. Trust me, I have participated in this program and we have given away a full U.S. geography curriculum on one occasion and another full ebook on another occasion. Other publishers are doing the same thing. So sign up using the “Join List” tab at the top of the page.

The Old Schoolhouse’s Teacher Toolbox - Most of you are probably aware of their Freebie Friday newsletter (if you are not, then sign up for that one as well). But the Teacher Toolbox newsletter is a lesser known treasure. The Teacher's Toolbox is a great way to inject something extra into your teaching plans especially when you are homeschooling on a shoestring.

The Homeschool Mom Unit Studies - Actually, the entire Homeschool Mom site is a gem and you should spend some time there getting familiarized with it and find out what it has to offer. But I specifically highlighted the unit study page because unit studies are a great way to homeschool your children especially if you are working with limited funds. You can teach them all the same topic but at varying levels. You can often utilize library books and online information resources – all for free.

Donna Young Printables and Resources - Yes, this site is a treasure trove of lessons, planners and forms. There is a form for everything you could ever need. I especially like her diplomas! If you are looking for a specific form, a planner or a lesson for a certain subject, make sure that you check here! Donna Young has so many useful forms and resources that you will think you have hit the jackpot.

Homeschooling ABCs Free 5 Day MiniClass – Sometimes when you are throwing it all together yourself and not using pre-made curriculum, you can start to wonder if you are on the right track. Worry no longer… sign up for the free 5 day mini-class at the site above and receive information on:

What to Teach and When
4 Steps to Homeschooling Success
Homeschooling on a Dime
Getting the Help You Need
Planning and Scheduling

There you go – 5 “Must-Have” No-Cost Resources for Homeschooling. Take advantage of them. Let them be the fuel that starts your creative engine and keeps it going strong. My hope and prayer for you is that you have NOT been hit hard by this financial mess our country has found itself in. But if you have been, then look for the silver lining amongst the gray clouds. As Patti Handy says, “Don’t let a good financial crisis go to waste.” (www.teenscashcoach.com)

Let me know if you get any good info from them or have used them!!!

I have to add my favorite Saint Coloring Blog. Waltzing Matilda it is a great resource for feast day coloring.

BALANCE AND MODERATION...

Balance and Moderation
My parenting/homeschooling methodology…

I have been reading a lot online about different people’s perspectives on parenting and homeschooling methods...I have been married for 20 years and have been a mother/homeschooler for 19 years. So take my advice with a grain of salt...

My husband and I have tried about every different parent strategy as well as about 15 different homeschooling curriculums. We owned a Christian/Catholic bookstore for 10 years and got to pick from the best!

What we have learned in the end is what my old spiritual adviser suggested monthly to me..."BALANCE AND MODERATION".

I know those who know us laugh and say balance and moderation??? 12th child on the way...and an exercise crazed man??? What kind of balance and moderation is that???...trust me if you only knew how crazy we really are...

We learn from the best...we take what we like from everyone and use what works for us at different stages in our lives, different personalities work well with different approaches; different seasons call for creative methods. Sometimes due to pregnancy, newborns, construction, or other calls of life make us stretch and adjust our "plans".

That is why my husband and I make a perfect team!!! God's design for our family calls us to balance each other out and find moderation in our lives.

The one thing that has gotten us through it all is tenacity and stick-to-itiveness. The good old "JUST DO IT" approach.

I know many people ask me for specific advice and are disappointed when I don't give them a "just add water" answer. Yes, I like different parenting strategies. Yes, I use about 10 different curriculums to meet the needs of my crazy family.

But in the end...we are happy and taking one day at a time.
I have found that in this stressful world, not to mention adding homeschooling to our crazy schedule. In life finding a balance in all areas is important. I will break them into four categories I constantly try to meet: Spiritual, social, academic, and human balance.
Under spiritual balance it is important to raise our children with a love for Christ and His holy mother in an everyday love and respect. This is to make Christ part of your family in good times and in bad. Christ should be part of our joys and our sufferings. Bringing Christ and prayer into our normal everyday life is absolutely essential.
Social balance is important too. Having friends and entertaining in any environment is essential in our family. It may be as simple as friends over to play, clubs meeting at your home, or bringing out the china for a special guest.
Academic balance in our family is pretty crazy. With kids from K through college we roll with the punches and do what we can to keep on track. I find it very important to find time for math and reading, we squeeze in all the other subjects when we can. My older kids (about fourth grade and up) pretty much stay on track with their own school work. I put together my own curriculum, so I can meet each child at their own level and concentrate on their strengths. I usually spend most of my “teaching” with the little guys and “overseeing” everyone and keep the household running. Somehow through the grace of God my kids have turned out pretty smart!!! I just finished the school year with two high school students with an A average (they attend a two day tutorial) and I have the college kid’s grades to prove that God is in control of our schooling!!!
Human balance has been a struggle of mine since I got married. I find it quite difficult to manage a home in the ways that I feel appropriate. I am a pretty poor housewife. Cooking and cleaning have always been a difficult for me. I am constantly trying new ways to manage my home. The best thing I have found to help me manage is keeping balanced and not to get overwhelmed. Besides my amazing husband who accepts me the way I am and helps me constantly, my laid back personality saves me from the overwhelming task of raising 11 children and dealing with my pregnancy. Human balance also reminds me to keep up my appearance as well as the importance of exercise in the state of life I am in. (which is constantly changing)
So my advice in raising a happy balanced family is to be flexible, start each day with an open mind, and beg God for the wisdom to make holy decisions.
THY WILL BE DONE!!! +JMJ+
