Watch out she is 18!!!

Wow, my spunky daughter just turned 18!!! In our home that means you are old enough to date. I know whomever does gain favor in this young ladies eye will be a lucky man! This special girl says it like it is...no filter no prudence...you get what you get! That is a gift and a curse! She loves the Lord and that is all that matters!

We love you Babz! Your sweet name sake Gram would be so proud of you too! Keep your head on strait and keep close to Jesus!

Love you forever, Like you for always, as long as I'm living my baby you'll be!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET 16!!!

To have a birthday on Good Friday is tough. Like all things you took it in stride. We love you so much and you have been so helpful and fun. You have grown so much in your faith this year. Thank you for being such a great daughter. Even thou we give you a hard time for being a teenager...you have been a delight and so wonderful! Of course you have your mom's personality!!! Dear sweet babz!!! You always make cool stuff for your brothers and sisters to play with!!! You are awesome with the babies and the favorite neighborhood sitter!!! If we could take care of that whole math, cleaning your room, waking up thing...than you would be perfect!!! We love you so, so, so, so, so, so much!!!

Trying to get back in the swing of things...

My wonderful sister who got to go to my daughter's game when I couldn't make it.

I have always been open to "when" God wanted us to have a baby...but, with my surprise C section and other complications...fall was difficult. We had kids playing ball in all directions. Only with the help of MANY, MANY friends taking our kids to practices and games, was it possible.

It was hard not to be able to go to many games and cheer on my kids. So, when I felt better, I was excited to get to as many as possible...dodging the rain and cold weather with a new born and a busy toddler.

This week I got to go to my daughter's end of the year outdoor game and cookout. It was from 3-6pm and the kids were having a blast on the moon bounce and eating lots of treats. Since I was by myself it was getting crazy around 5pm with a three year old coming down with a cold, a cranky two year old, and a cold, nursing newborn.

My kind neighbor offered to take my daughter home for me so I could get the little guys home and ready for bed...I figured, well, it is almost over. I guess that would be best. So I packed up the seven youngest and headed home.

I got about half way home and got a call from my neighbor saying that they gave awards to just three girls on the team...one being my wonderful daughter!!! She was awarded the UNSUNG HERO AWARD!!! Her plaque says, " For her contribution to exemplifying Christian character, positive attitude, faithfulness and dedication; and setting an example to her teammates as an encouraging role model."

I was so disappointed that I wasn't there to cheer (or embarrass her).

O well, at least her guardian angel was there with her!!!

My Bab's is a teenager...

Well, you are a teenager...yikes!!! The best part is...you are legal to babysit for me and the entire town...the neighbors are more excited than I am...you are a stitch!!! You keep us laughing all the time!!! You are my best "little kid helper" and you are a great tutor to your siblings...now, if I could only figure out how to get you to make your bed and do your own school...oh yeah, it is called an IPOD!!!

HAPPY FEAST OF St. Katherine Drexel

What a great day!!! We always pray for those who have problems with their ears or hearing on this special feast day!!! And what better day for my daughter to get her ears pierced for an early 13Th birthday present!!!

So if you want to stop by we can bless you with our 2ND class relic that we got from a niece of a sister in St. Katherine's order!!!

I also love how our school work falls in place liturgically...my 11 year old, just happened (GO GOD) to have St. Katherine as his saint story today!!!
