What Super Hero are You?
So I am at the March for Life today...
trying to keep a low profile and along comes a group of
SUPER HERO'S
SUPER HERO'S
begging me to have their photo taken with me...
I tried to tell them I was undercover
and I didn't want to cause a scene...
and I didn't want to cause a scene...
but after all that pleading...
I finally gave in...
At first they asked if I was BLACK WIDOW...
I said no...
then they guessed WONDER WOMAN...
still wrong...
so I gave in and told them that I was one of many...
you know cuz you are probably one too...
the kind of person who tries to pray everyday...
tries to treat their husband like a king...
tries to think of others...
tries to take good care of the kids...
tries to be a good cook...
tries to keep up with the housework...

Persevere:
I need to persevere!
I have been trying to keep up my going to the gym and eating healthier this year.
I have done well...but my heart isn't in it.
I just want to be pregnant or be holding my dear baby in my arms.
I really need a reason to exercise and eat well...
my goal in life is to grow closer to God and do HIS HOLY WILL. I really don't care about being skinny.
So...to get up at 4:45am and go to the gym and not eat my fun food is really a struggle lately.
It was really easy to stay on task when we were getting ready for my daughters wedding. I was totally motivated.
But now...hmmm...
We went to the beach this weekend and I ate so much fun food...
and gained lots of weight!
I was so discouraged and the baby hadn't slept well so getting up stunk!
Friday before the beach: 133 lbs
Monday weigh in: 139 lbs
Tuesday weigh in: 136.6 lbs
Wednesday weigh in: 131.8 lbs
So today I went to the gym so happy that it is actually paying off.
Yesterday I wanted to eat raisin bread for breakfast, pizza pockets for lunch, and rice and bread with my dinner...but instead I ate:
BREAKFAST: clementines & apples
LUNCH: 2 turkey burgers, mustard, cherry tomatoes, and pickles
DINNER: chicken, tomatoes, carrots, and celery
I was so tired that I couldn't even eat my Greek yogurt
So this weekend I can relax a little on what I eat and get back to the gym on Monday!

Favorite CHRISTMAS books 2012:
We have over 100 Christmas books...not kidding! I am sadly putting things away today and wanted to make sure you have read these books...or put them in your amazon wish list for next year!
I can't begin to tell them all to you but I wanted to share some.
THE FRIENDLY BEASTS:
by anyone...there are about 20 different copies of this great book. We have a couple different ones.
BRIGHT STAR, BRIGHT STAR WHAT DO YOU SEE? by Cassandre Maxwell
never mind about this one...unless you see it at a book sale! It is selling on Amazon $36.49 or more...not that great! But it is still one of our very favorites...now that I got you wishing...sorry!
WHO IS COMING TO OUR HOUSE? Joseph Slate
Boy, we have had most of these books since the early 90's I can't believe the prices. Well, we have this in a board book and paperback...it is great but again look at your library discount rack to buy. That is where I find most of my precious books...even out of print and some signed by the author books!
THE STABLE WHERE JESUS WAS BORN Rhonda Greene
These suggestions are the books that we read all during Advent...easy good reads and fun. Make sure to check the used ones out on Amazon...they are like 1 cent with $4 shipping...so don't buy new unless it is a gift...or better yet...ALWAYS CHECK THE LIBRARY FIRST!
SANTA'S FAVORITE STORY by Hisako Aoki
This is one of our all time favorites!!! It is great to buy for those relatives that do up SANTA big...it has a great story by Santa telling the animals that Christmas isn't about him and gifts but about His favorite story of how Christ was born. I bought a bunch of these one year and gave them to my nieces and nephews.
The best for last:
JESUS' CHRISTMAS PARTY Nicholas Allan
We have an old copy...it was out of print for years. For those of you that don't know my husband and I owned a Christian Bookstore for 10 years when we were first married...so this is a treasured title from those days. It is our favorite because it is silly and we are such a sarcastic crazy family that this fits our temperament perfectly. My kids even did a play of this...years ago! It isn't a sweet and spiritual book but it makes you laugh and think about what it was like the night Jesus was born!

FAVORITE CHRISTMAS GIFT 2012:
Probably one of our favorite Christmas gifts from my hubby's brother.
It was a package to the Aquarium in Baltimore. It cost $209 and is well worth it. What I did was put my 16 year old daughter, who drives, down as the other adult instead of my husband. We would probably just go during his work hours and we will never go on busy weekends because it is so crowded. Than I put my child number 6 to 12 down as my six members and my 3 year old as our guest and the baby is free. Than if I ever want my sister to take the kids she would count as my "NANNY" and she can take them in my place. We went last week and it was great! Even if we only go once again this year we still saved money!
It is $30 for adults and $21 for kids! Crazy expensive!

After Pictures
I just realized that I didn't post my "after" 17 day diet pictures.
Mainly because it is embarrassing. Secondly because it is kinda boastful...look at me I lost 30 lbs!!!
It was humiliating to post these pictures after I lost our sweet baby, but it was easier than posting me thinner. The main reason I didn't post these is because deep in my heart I want to be big and pregnant!!!
My goal was to lose the weight before my Dec 18th due date. I think I took these on Dec 15th or so.
I will continue to exercise and eat better...but I really enjoy my days off when I eat fun food...but then I have to work out extra hard the following week.
So here they are: Hopefully I can post pictures of me big and pregnant some day...but I am pretty sure that menopause is coming my way and who knows what this year will bring.
